Exclusive Race Resort Welcomes Members and Celebrity Guests
MONTICELLO, N.Y. — Monticello Motor Club (MMC) hosted a launch party at NYC’s legendary Cipriani. Guests included a select group of automotive enthusiasts, including MMC member Jerry Seinfeld and racing legends Mario Andretti, Brian Redman and Bobby Rahal. Bob Varsha, Speed TV commentator, served as emcee for a spectacular evening of fun and excitement.
MMC is the world’s most exclusive private motor sports country club. Located just 75 minutes from New York City, the track is scheduled to open this summer.
“Monticello Motor Club guests had a small taste of the excitement planned for our members,” said President Bill McMichael. “As exciting as the virtual track and 3D models on display this evening are, the actual track is much more impressive and the countdown to our grand opening has begun.”
Featured exotic cars included one of only two Ferrari Scuderias in the US, a Bugatti Veyron capable of 250 MPH, a Porsche Carrera GT, and vintage racecars including Brian Redman’s 1970 Targa Florio winning Porsche 908/3, Bobby Rahal’s Indycar and the last car Mario Andretti drove in competition.
One lucky guest, Joe Masessa, won a complimentary membership.
Guests tested their driving skills on Virtual GT simulators featuring MMC’s challenging 4.1 mile grand prix course and witnessed Andretti, Rahal and Redman drive the first-ever ceremonial laps on a large viewing screen.
The track is designed by Bruce Hawkins and racing legend Brian Redman. The resort includes a 30,000 square foot clubhouse, five-star spa, dining, premium car storage, luxury accommodations and exercise facilities.
Members can fuel their passion for performance with unprecedented track access of up to 200 track days annually to test their skills by touring, lapping and racing. The track can operate as three independent circuits and offers European-style grand corners, thrilling elevation changes, 22 turns and one of the longest straights in North America.
